How do you make your coffee?

Hey, Reader,

You might not know this about me yet, but I REALLY love coffee. In fact, I am borderline obsessed with coffee and NEED it every morning. You better not talk to me until I have my coffee!

Did you know that caffeine is the most widely used psychoactive drug in the world?

I have a system in place: A hand-grinder where I grind whole beans. A tiny electric hot water kettle. And a simple pour-over method that results in delicious coffee.

Then I sit and read the newspaper on my iPad as the outside world wakes up.

As I write this email, I'm sitting in my van on a forest service road in the Sierra Nevada. Birds are chirping. Bees are buzzing. The air smells of sage and pine, and we have a view of the distant hills. I feel so happy here, comfortable in my van but immersed in nature.

The perfect spot for my cup of morning coffee, right?

I’m really excited to tell you about my friends at Wayfarer Vans and their Ford Transit and RAM ProMaster campervan conversions. They’re simple and spacious with modular furniture, giving you everything you need and nothing you don’t. Their conversions, which are built in their Colorado Springs, CO facility, start at just $20k.

Best of all, they offer a nationwide pickup and delivery program so you can get your completed van without ever leaving the house! They will cover the cost of shipping your vehicle one-way up to $2,000. If you’re looking for a simple, affordable, high-quality campervan, check them out: Wayfarer Vans Conversions

Everyone has their own way of enjoying their cup of morning joe.

Some people love the French Press. Others swear by the pour over, like me. And others have small electric coffee pots inside their vans.

My friends over at Engineers Who Van Life have an ESPRESSO MAKER in their van. Luxurious, right?

There are SO MANY ways to make coffee inside a campervan or an RV, that I asked my writer Brooke Alexander to write an in-depth post about all the ways to make coffee on the road.

But I also want to know, what is your preferred way to make coffee?

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday :)

Hey Reader! People love to ask me how I afford this life. Here are questions I get on my Facebook pages all the time: “Are you a trust fund baby?” “Do your parents pay for all this?” “Do you even pay taxes?” Yep, I’ve heard it all. The truth is, it took years of hard work, many moments of doubt, and learning a ton about online business to build the life I have now: traveling full-time in both a campervan and on a sailboat. In my latest blog post, I’m spilling the details on: The exact ways I...

Hey Reader! As we journey north through the Sea of Cortez to haul our boat out at the boatyard, I'm starting to think about summer van life adventures. I'm looking forward to easy access to hiking, jogging, and mountain biking, things that are harder to achieve with sailboat life. By the way, if you don't have a van yet, I HIGHLY recommend renting one before buying. Hey Reader! Today is the first day on our passage down the Baja Peninsula that I actually feel okay, maybe even good. We left Long Beach on Saturday night and haven't stopped since. Here's a picture of me on the Long Beach public dock outside Ballast Point hours before we left: Right now we are behind Isla Cedros, protected from the Pacific swell. The wind is light and the weather warm. I slept in two decent shifts: 8:30pm-1230pm, and then again from 730am-1030am. I've always heard that DAY...
